Common questions.

Where is my data stored?
Everything stays on your device. Simpliday has no backend, no account, and no analytics — your events never leave your phone unless you choose to share an encrypted QR or backup.
How do backups work?
You can export an encrypted .simplibackup file from Settings. It uses AES-256 with a passphrase you choose. Save it to iCloud Drive, Files, or anywhere you keep important files. To restore, open the file in Simpliday on any device.
How do I share an event with someone?
Open the event, tap Share, and a stylish QR appears. The QR is encrypted and expires in 24 hours. The recipient can scan it with their iPhone camera to open it directly in Simpliday.
Does Simpliday work on iPad / Mac?
Simpliday is iPhone-first and runs on iPad in compatibility mode. A native iPad layout and a Mac Catalyst build are on the roadmap.
How do I request a feature or report a bug?
Email hello@yihua.ca. Include your iOS version and Simpliday version (Settings → About). Screenshots help a lot.
I lost my backup passphrase — can you recover it?
No. Backups are encrypted on your device, so even I can't decrypt them. If you've lost the passphrase, the backup is unrecoverable. Sorry, this is the cost of true privacy.
