Simpliday Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Simpliday (the “app”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. These Terms are between you and Yihua (“I”, “me”), the developer of Simpliday.

License

I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Simpliday on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app, except as permitted by applicable law. Simpliday is licensed, not sold. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.

Your Content

Simpliday has no account system. The events, habits, groups, and settings you create are stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your own iCloud account through Apple’s CloudKit. I have no access to that content and don’t store it on any server of mine. You are responsible for your content and for keeping your own backups.

Simpliday Pro

Simpliday is free to use and shows ads. Simpliday Pro is a one-time in-app purchase — a permanent unlock that removes ads and unlocks additional features. It is not a subscription: there is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel. Payment is processed by Apple at confirmation of purchase. If you sign in with the same Apple ID on another device, use Restore Purchases in Simpliday’s settings to unlock Pro there at no additional cost. Refunds are handled by Apple under its standard App Store refund policy — I can’t issue refunds directly.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Simpliday is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. I don’t guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that reminders will always fire — notification delivery depends on iOS and your settings. Please don’t rely on Simpliday as your only reminder for time-critical or safety-critical events. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. I may update the app and these Terms over time; material changes will be posted here with a new date, and continuing to use the app means you accept them.
